The popular licensed print company Mondo has begun announcing its plans for San Diego Comic-Con 2016. Its sought-after limited posters and amazing vinyl records generally create hysteria among fans and collectors when the “drops” (when the posters are available for purchase) are announced.
You can find Mondo at Booth #835 on the show floor – and you can also score an exclusive Mondo poster by attending the Call of Duty panel on Thursday.
For now, let’s take a look at what Mondo is bringing to SDCC:
[UPDATE July 15]
Entertainment Weekly has the details on Mondo’s next round of Comic-Con exclusives, which include a stunning Star Wars print collaboration with Acme Archives and Jock, featuring the iconic garbage chute scene from Star Wars: A New Hope. A limited portion of the prints will be available at Acme Archive’s booth, and Jock will be on hand to sign copies of the print at Mondo’s booth on Friday, July 22 at 3PM.
They’ll also be bringing a 9″ Adventure Time collectible statue of Marceline the Vampire Queen, who even comes equipped with her Hambo doll.
Additionally, they’ll have X-Men collectible pins from Tom Whalen.
No word yet on prices, but you can read more on EW’s site.
[UPDATE July 13 #2]
Mondo is honoring the 8-bit history of Capcom’s iconic Blue Bomber with a set of Mega Man pins. The 1.25″ high soft enamel pins are based off the in-game 8-bit models, and feature packaging designed by Jay Shaw.
There are three pins, sold individually at Mondo Booth #835, for $10 each:
- Blue Bomber enamel pin
- Mega Man 1UP enamel pin
- E-Tank Enamel Pin

[UPDATE July 13] Oh My Disney revealed the next Mondo debut at San Diego Comic-Con, a series of Inside Out 7″ vinyl records and prints. There will be a total of six 7″ vinyl records featuring the emotions and Riley. There will be five prints featuring just the emotions using the art from the records.
Each of the records will have the main theme (“Bundle of Joy”) and an additional track from Giacchino’s flawless score for the Disney•Pixar classic, as well as exclusive artwork from Phantom City Creative that plays off a classic album cover (including: Isaac Hayes’ Joy, Hole’s Live Through This, Joni Mitchell’s Blue, and the Smashing Pumpkins’ Siamese Dream). Also, each album will have an exclusive colorway that goes along with whatever character it’s associated with. Joy and Sadness are limited to 2500 pieces, Fear, Disgust, and Anger are 1500 pieces, and Riley is limited to just 500; although all of them will cost $15 each.
Additionally, five of the album covers (all of the emotions–sorry Riley!) will be turned into exclusive prints from Oh My Disney, Mondo, and Cyclops Print Works. They will have a run size of only 420; 200 will be on sale at San Diego Comic-Con at the Mondo booth #835 and the rest will be on sale at the Cyclops Print Works website at a later date. They measure 18″ x 24″ and will be $50 each.

[UPDATE July 8] AV Club just revealed the first of Mondo’s San Diego Comic-Con offerings, which will be an early debut of the Over the Garden Wall vinyl release (albeit in variant coloring).
The 180 Gram “Gram Beast” colored vinyl will feature 32 tracks of songs and score from Over the Garden Wall, the 2014 beloved miniseries from Cartoon Network. The album will also come with a 20-page booklet with lyrics from every song and sheet music. The album will be available nation-wide in August in different coloring, but Comic-Con attendees can get it first. The SDCC exclusive version is limited to 1,000 pieces and will retail for $25.
