WonderCon is officially happening this month, which means there’s a lot more news the closer we get to the convention – including exclusives from Golden Apple Comics, KRS Comics, and more. We’ve also got a look at amazing artwork you’ll be able to snag, a chance to meet up with Bob’s Burgers fans, and so much more.
Here’s a look at the news you might have missed:
- If you put your bra on one boob at a time like everyone else, this may be of interest to you: a Bob’s Burgers Meat-Up (get it?) at WonderCon. The first annual fan gathering will take place on Saturday, April 1 at 4PM in front of the fountain at the convention center. Find more information on Facebook.
- Golden Apple Comics will have two variant covers exclusive to WonderCon this year: X-O Manowar #1 with cover art by Bill Sienkiewicz, and Iron Fist #1 with art also by Sienkiewicz. Manowar will be limited to 500 copies, while Iron Fist will be limited to 3,000 copies – but you can grab both at Booth #402. From Golden Apple Comics’ site, here’s a look at both covers:

- Speaking of exclusives, A Tiny Teddy Named Cuds will have a WonderCon exclusive A Tiny Teddy Named Cuds Coloring & Activity Book available at Small Press SP-67. The book is limited to 500 copies, and can be picked up for $6.99.

- KRS Comics (Booth #701) will also be bringing a few WonderCon exclusive variant covers to the show, Bleeding Cool reports. Swing by to grab the X-Men Prime #1 Tyler Kirkham Venomized Variant which is limited to 2500 copies and available for $10, or grab the black and white cover for $30 (limited to 1250 copies). X-Men Prime/Inhumans Prime #1 by Gabriel Dell’Otto Virgin will be sold as a set, and will be available for $40, and limited to 1250. You’ll also be able to grab Amazing Spider-Man #25 with variant art by J. Scott Campbell for $25, limited to 1500 copies. According to Bleeding Cool, KRS will also have Kirkham, Jon Boy Meyers, and Rob Liefeld at their booth throughout WonderCon for autograph signings.

- Freelance illustrator Kate Carleton will have several prints available at Artist Alley F-29, and she’s been busy showing some of them off on Instagram, including a Buzz Lightyear, Maui, a super majestic unicorn, and more.
- Costume designer and artist Gwyn Conaway showed off some original cards via Instagram she’ll have available at WonderCon, featuring characters from My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Steven Universe, and more.
- Yin Yang Innovations will be debuting Bill Kurtz’s Oni books at WonderCon, and you can pick up a copy at Small Press 105.
- Swing by Arist Alley #B-61 to grab the limited release of Zombie Zero Chapter 5: Grave Digger, from Christopher Reda and Leandro Rizzo.
- We love these adorable forest spirits, hand-sculpted mini-terrariums from Rhododo – inspired by Studio Ghibli. Stop by Booth #1810 during the show to meet your new tiny friend.
- Pika Pika! Scott Hattox showed off a Pikachu Pokemon painting, which be available at Green Hills Entertainment Booth #1503.
- Artist Anthony Helmer’s pre-convention sketch list is now open, so if you’d like original art from Helmer, be sure to peek his Instagram for more details.
- Artist Tom Hodges also opened his pre-convention sketch list, offering 9″x12″ character sketches. Find more information on Instagram on how to get on his list, while spots are still open.
- Comics & Ponies revealed a sneak peek at their WonderCon exclusive Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #68 variant, illustrated by TMNT creator himself Kevin Eastman.
- Illustrator Caleb King will debut a Spider-Man triptych at WonderCon this month – so stop by Artist Alley C-64 to grab yours.
- Artist Lamont Hunt, also known as “DakotaKid”, previewed a “Playground Pairs” piece as well as some vintage paper Star Wars illustrations that will be available at WonderCon Artist Alley #D-06.
- Artist Anita Iverarity offered a glimpse of a Amidala piece she’s been working on, which will be available at Bad Apple Artists Booth #E-46.
- Artist Joe Lai showed off several Star Wars “dingbats” he’ll have available at WonderCon at Artist Alley F-59.
- Japanese cartoonist, Akane’s Chibi Art, revealed several pieces she’ll have available at WonderCon Booth #D-58 in Artist Alley.
- Artist Taylor Blue took to tumblr to show off some mini-prints she’s been working on for WonderCon, including this stunning Steven Universe print, and this Daft Punk piece. Pick these up and more at Artist Alley #F-46.
