‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Westworld’ Offsites Coming

In addition to panels for both Game of Thrones and Westworld – HBO will also be hosting offsites for both series.

While details are very scarce for both right now, Game of Thrones looks to be taking over their usual spot by the Omni at 728 L Street. The offsite will be open Thursday, July 20 – Sunday, July 23, with the following hours:

Thursday: 11AM-5PM
Friday: 11AM-5PM
Saturday: 10AM-5PM
Sunday: 9AM-1PM

There will also be an offsite for Westworld, though an exact location isn’t listed. For the Westworld offsite, the hours are:

Thursday: 11AM-8:30PM
Friday 1PM-8:30PM
Saturday 12:30PM-9:30PM
Sunday 11AM-2:30PM

If the Game of Thrones offsite is anything like it has been in years past, it will be a version of this year’s SXSW. This year, the exhibit got a larger-than-usual makeover and a name change, as HBO debuted HBO: The Escape.

At SXSW, it wasn’t just themed to Game of Thrones though — instead, the installation is a series of escape rooms, themed to GOT, Silicon Valley, and Veep. Once you made your way inside , you and your team solved a series of clues in each room to unlock the door to the following room and complete all three. In each room, teams had the opportunity to complete a challenge, locate the door and escape to the next room.

After you made your way through all three rooms, don’t worry — you still get a chance to take your photo on the Iron Throne, buy merch, and sample Game of Thrones wines. If it’s similar at Comic-Con, you can practically feel the Comic-Con line already forming.
