‘Doctor Who’ Gets San Diego Comic-Con Final Farewell Panel for Peter Capaldi, ‘Dirk Gently’ [UPDATE]

Peter Capaldi’s tenure as Doctor Who will be up before the end of the year – but that leaves just enough time for him to make one final round in Hall H, for fans to get a proper farewell.

Doctor Who will be in Hall H on Sunday, July 23 (along with Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency), with the former set for 1PM-2PM, and the latter for 2PM-3PM.

While Capaldi’s final season of Doctor Who will be over before the convention, there’s still a Christmas special set to air this December – so there’s still news to tease. Could they reveal the new doctor at the panel? Attendees will be treated to an exclusive sneak peek of the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas Special, and a panel featuring cast members Capaldi, Pearl Mackie, Matt Lucas, and Michelle Gomez – as well as actor/writer Mark Gatiss and showrunner Steven Moffat. The panel will be moderated by Chris Hardwick.

For the Dirk panel immediately following, catch a glimpse of stars Elijah Wood, Samuel Barnett, Hannah Marks, Jade Eshete, Fiona Dourif, Mpho Koaho, Alan Tudyk, and Tyler Labine, along with creator Max Landis and showrunner Robert Cooper. Kevin Smith will lead a chat with fans about how everything was connected in season one and provide an exclusive sneak peek at season two.
